lyrics
I don’t know about our institutions; the fairytales they taught us in class
They never told the truth about anything; that’s just a fact
Awe, no, we’ll never know the truth about Elvis
You say, he’s living in Jim Morrison’s flat?
Hiding away with Princess Diana just trying to relax?
Tell me, what should I really try to believe? (Conspiracy)
Yeah, tell me and I will try to believe your conspiracy (Conspiracy)
The intel inside The War Room is hid behind a code we can’t crack
The secret bunkers down in Grand Central are filled to the max
And you say, a hundred and seventy-six miles outside of Vegas
Is where Stanley filmed that spacecraft
That’s where Tricky Dick faked the moon landing; then had a nice laugh (ha, ha, ha, ha, ha)
Tell me, what should I really try to believe? (Conspiracy)
(Tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me; show me, show me, show me, show me)
(Hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me; know me, know me, know me, know me)
Yeah, tell me and I will try to believe your conspiracy (Conspiracy)
In the hills, in the hills, in the Ellensburg Hills, rumors of the paranormal
There’s hole, there’s a hole, Mel’s bottomless hole; it must be some kind of portal
Tell me, what should I really try to believe?
You say, Elvis lives with The Lizard King? (tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me)
They’re with Princess Di, tell me one more thing…
Tupac and Kurt Cobain, do they live there too? (show me, show me, show me, show me)
Is Andy Kaufman still playing tricks on you?
There are UFOs (Conspiracy); Art Bell told you so
They crashed Northwest of here in New Mexico
Check the Baltic Sea (Conspiracy), on the ocean floor
Swear to secrecy and tell me just one more
Always finding albums like this that I wish I discovered years ago. Love, love, love this, from the simple arrangements to the Bond theme and screams of 'I know the end'. BikeBoy29
The Arizona band do right by post-hardcore on their immersive new LP, leavening untempered breakdowns with carefully-measured catharsis. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 20, 2018
Spacious, psych-tinged indie rock from Philly; painting in blurry watercolors (but not without percussive headiness). Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 16, 2016
I love Lovecraft in Brooklyn, and this version captures the energy of the Mountain Goats in concert as well as any recording I've heard. My absolute favorite, but the live version of See America Right is a close second. Bangers, the both of 'em. theoysterking
